Refund policy

We want you to feel confident with your purchase.
If something doesn’t feel right, you can return the item within 14 days.


 

1. Return Policy

  • We offer a 14-day return policy.
    After receiving your item, you have 14 days to request a return.
  • To be eligible for a return, the item must:
    • Be in the same condition as when received
    • Be unworn and unused
    • Have all tags attached
    • Be in the original packaging
  • You also need a receipt or other proof of purchase.
  • Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please indicate the reason for the issue and send the return with a tracking number. Returns can be initiated via: 📩 uchia.yumiko@gmail.com

  • Return items must be sent to the following address:

  • Note on returns from Switzerland:

    Returns from Switzerland may incur additional costs such as customs duties or handling fees. These costs are non-refundable and must be borne by the customer.


2. Important Notes

  • All items are second-hand, vintage, or antique.

  • If you do not wish to purchase used items, please refrain from buying.

  • Any dirt or signs of wear are described as accurately as possible in the photos or product description. Please carefully check the images before purchasing.

  • Sale items are generally not eligible for returns.


3. Damages and Issues

  • Please inspect your order upon receipt.

  • Contact us immediately if the item is damaged, missing, or incorrect, so that we can check and resolve the issue.


4. Exceptions / Non-returnable Items

  • Custom-made items (e.g., personalized products)

  • Personal care products (e.g., cosmetics)

  • Sale items or gift cards

5. Exchanges

Returning the received item is the quickest way to obtain a desired item.
After the return is accepted, you may purchase the new item separately.


6. Refunds

  • We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return.

  • Approved refunds will be automatically issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

7. Additional Notes

  • Individual operation: Responses to inquiries and shipping may take 2–3 days.

  • All items are one-of-a-kind. For multiple simultaneous orders, the order of the customer who completed the purchase first is prioritized.

  • Your order is only confirmed upon receipt of the order confirmation email.

  • The same items may also be offered at weekly markets or larger events. We strive to manage inventory quickly, but please understand there may be overlaps.


8. Care Instructions

  • Dry cleaning is strongly recommended.

  • Washing by machine or by hand may cause damage, for which we cannot take responsibility.

  • After wearing a kimono, we recommend not folding it immediately. First, gently blot visible stains with a cotton cloth and air the kimono in the shade.

  • In Japan, some people carefully hand-wash kimonos or have them cleaned at specialized kimono cleaners using appropriate machines.

  • Especially for antiques, the fabric is often delicate; please take extra care when washing.


9. Final Note

  • Please only make a purchase if you have read and understood these notes.

  • We hope you discover your favorite kimono and enjoy it for a long time.
