Description
A pink haori from the Shōwa period, approximately from the 1960s to 1980s (approx. 1965–1985).
The pastel, delicate pink is adorned with subtly distributed maple leaves and small flowers in the "Tobi-gara" style (a loosely scattered pattern).
The fine, horizontally structured crepe texture (Chirimen) and the soft gradient dyeing (Bokashi) lend the piece an elegant and noble effect despite its lovely appearance.
Although maple leaves are an autumnal motif, they also symbolize change and beauty – and harmonize particularly well with this soft shade of pink.
The lining is white and features woven chrysanthemum and plant motifs. Depending on the light, these patterns subtly emerge, elegantly complementing the soft aesthetic of the outer fabric.
The easily combinable pink hue adds freshness to any outfit. Especially when worn in the brighter seasons, this haori imparts a feeling of lightness and makes you want to go outside.
