A haori with a calm, elegant appearance, characterized by reddish-brown and iron-grey tones. The pattern, in which the colors change in gently curved, vertical lines, appears powerful yet understated and is reminiscent of an abstract, traditional Japanese design.
The garment probably dates from the period after World War II, when everyday life and aesthetic sensibilities gradually re-emerged in Japan. The calming effect is further emphasized by the finely structured, crepe-like fabric and the deep color tones, giving the Haori a timelessly elegant presence. It also has a certain formal feel – almost like a “Japanese suit”.
The lining features a geometric pattern on a white background, which is harmoniously color-coordinated with the outer fabric and adds extra clarity to the overall look. The outer fabric is made of pure silk, is pleasantly light, supple and offers a very good feel.
This haori can be easily combined with modern clothing items such as jeans and is suitable for both a relaxed everyday style and consciously chosen, well-groomed outfits.
