Description
A haori on a black background, the pattern of which is entirely designed through embroidery.
In the center of the spine is a motif reminiscent of an open book or a gajō – a notebook containing drawings or poems. Combined with floral elements, it conveys a sense of tranquility, education, and quiet aesthetics.
The embroidery is presumably handmade. Each stitch displays a subtle irregularity, which, together with the balanced composition, testifies to the high quality of the material and the craftsmanship. Despite its elegance, the embroidery exudes a certain warmth and charm.
The lining is made of a light cream-colored fabric with a subtle floral pattern. It doesn't contrast sharply with the black outer fabric, but rather complements it gently, giving the haori a soft overall look. The lining shows signs of age, while the outer fabric has no noticeable stains and only slight, vintage-typical wear.
Despite these signs of age, both the outer fabric and the lining are pleasantly soft and feel very good.
This haori can be combined in both elegant and soft and playful ways, proving to be a versatile garment with a wide stylistic range.
* There is age-related soiling on the entire feed.
* The outer fabric is free of noticeable stains, but shows signs of age-related wear in the feel of the fabric.
