Description
Black Haori from the 1970s–1980s.
The elegant color composition of a black base tone with silver, gold, and vermilion accents gives this piece a quiet, almost nocturnal radiance – like a Japanese garden in moonlight.
The heavy, textured fabric is interwoven with flowing motifs of bamboo grass and autumnal plants. Chrysanthemums, a symbol of longevity and nobility in Japan, lend additional depth and poetic elegance to the design.
Despite its dynamic composition, the Haori maintains a calm, cultivated presence, reflecting the refined aesthetics of the late Shōwa period.
The lining, in a delicate rosé, features a floral motif reminiscent of chrysanthemums, harmoniously echoing the outer fabric's design. Even the hidden details attest to great care and a fine aesthetic sensibility.
The Haori can be worn casually every day or styled as a special statement piece for evening events, dinners, parties, or art and cultural events.
* The lining shows slight signs of wear in the form of soiling.
