Description
A modern Haori from the 1950s-1960s with an aesthetic reminiscent of Nordic textile designs.
The regularly arranged circular pattern combines Japanese motifs like chrysanthemums or Wagasa umbrellas with a graphic, almost abstract design. The subtle variations within the circles give the fabric an exceptionally refined and artistic effect. At the same time, the design is reminiscent of Mid-Century textiles and Scandinavian fabric patterns.
The lining features a white base fabric with radiating motifs that evoke fireworks or blossoms, lending the piece a playful lightness. Particularly beautiful is the interplay between the circular patterns on the outside and the radiating forms on the inside — a very tasteful and harmonious detail.
The Haori pairs wonderfully with modern clothing. Worn over jeans, white shirts, or linen fabrics, it instantly adds a stylish, special accent to even simple outfits. A charming piece of Japanese retro-modernity for everyday wear.
