Description
This kimono features five woven family crests (back, chest, and sleeves), placing it in the highest formal category of traditional Japanese attire.
Both the outer and inner fabrics are made of silk, characterized by a pleasantly soft, high-quality feel.
The crests are executed using traditional dyeing techniques (染め抜き). For protection, they have been partially covered with fabric, which is also a typical detail of such pieces.
Black kimonos are highly sought after in both classic and modern interpretations. The inner lining shows age-related signs of wear, while the outer fabric is in very good condition.
The collar is designed as a Hiro-eri (wide collar) and can be folded into a narrower shape. A fastening hook (fock) makes it easier to put on.
Whether worn classically with an obi (belt) or open – this kimono impresses with its clear, minimalist presence and can be styled in many ways.
A special piece for anyone who wants to experience the aesthetics and depth of traditional Japanese clothing.
*The inner lining shows some soiling, and overall the piece shows age-related signs of wear.
*The white basting threads will be removed before shipping.
The protective fabrics on the family crests will remain attached for protection and can be easily removed upon receipt.
