This antique Japanese haori, likely from the 1920s to 1940s, captivates with its delicate pink base color and generously arranged peonies.
The silk fabric feels exceptionally smooth and possesses a gentle, natural sheen. Large red and white peonies unfurl against the subdued pink hue. The blossoms appear magnificent, while the soft base color lends the haori an elegant and friendly aura.
A fine, woven-in background pattern runs throughout the entire fabric. Depending on the light and movement, it subtly emerges, giving the fabric a beautiful depth. The interplay of the background pattern and the natural luster of the silk makes the surface particularly appealing.
The red and white peonies are arranged to harmoniously complement each other. Some parts of the blossoms are additionally adorned with delicate embroidery, which gives them a slight three-dimensional effect and special accents.
