Description
This is an antique Japanese haori from the late Taishō to early Shōwa period (approx. 1920s–1930s).
The high-quality, softly draping silk fabric in vibrant orange is adorned all over with magnificent chrysanthemums. The powerful yet generous design leaves an immediate and lasting impression.
The supple texture of the old silk gives the piece an elegant, serene dignity and makes the atmosphere of a bygone era palpable.
The packaging features a crane motif on a red background.
Here, the “beauty of the hidden” typical of this period is particularly evident – that love of detail which fills even invisible areas with meaning.
In Japan, the crane is considered a symbol of longevity and good fortune, so the exterior and interior together create an exceptionally elegant overall effect.
The length is a bit more generous.
It can be worn in a classic style or individually interpreted with a belt. This expressive piece is also perfectly suited for stage or performance.
A garment that is not dictated by trends, but embodies the timeless aesthetic of Japan.
Not just a fashionable element, but a garment that embodies history and culture.
For lovers of authentic antiques.
